With marijuana legalization set for October 17th, Indigenous communities across the country are capitalizing on it.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, just outside Montreal, has signed a non-binding agreement with Canada’s largest cannabis firm, Canopy Growth, that could see the construction of a sprawling, state-of-the-art greenhouse.
The potential deal would see the First Nation host a four-thousand-650 square metre production facility, as well as a processing and packaging space nearly half that size. (3)
