Toronto police shutdown multiple unlicensed cannabis dispensaries

Numerous unlicensed cannabis dispensaries have been shutdown in Toronto following multiple police investigations.

In a release on Friday, Toronto police said on Feb. 26, officers located a suspect working as an employee at an illegal dispensary in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road.

Dried cannabis, THC vapes, psilocybin chocolate bars, cannabis-infused edibles, cartons of unstamped cigarettes, and Canadian currency were all seized.

Chyna Miron, 22, of Toronto was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession and distribution-related offences.

The following day, on Feb. 27, police said officers executed a search warrant at an unlicensed dispensary in the Kennedy Road. and St. Clair Avenue area.

A suspect was found working inside.

As a result, cannabis, cartons of unstamped cigarettes, and Canadian currency was seized.

Luna Muller Menezes, 31, of Toronto, was charged with multiple counts of possession and distribution-related offences as a result.

Also on Feb. 27, officers attended a third illegal dispensary at an address in the area of Kingston Roadd. and Midland Avenue.

Once again, a suspect working inside the dispensary was arrested, and large amounts of dried cannabis, pre-rolled marijuana joints, cannabis-infused edibles, hash, THC vapes, THC bathing products, cartons of unstamped cigarettes, and Canadian currency was seized.

Niraj Shrestha, 22, of Toronto, was charged with multiple counts of possession and distribution-related offences.

A fourth unlicensed dispensary, in the area of Danforth Avenue and Danforth Road., was searched by officers on March. 2.

Two suspects were located working inside and cannabis, cartons of unstamped cigarettes, and Canadian currency were collected by officers.

Both Andwele Earle, 37, of Toronto, and Dre-Awn Eubank-Lebeque, 25, of Toronto, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession and distribution-related offences as a result.

Anyone with additional information is asked to come forward.
